---As told by G.S.A
Ghost Sisters springs from a visit with a Psychic. We know. We are not hugely gullible individuals. But, we went to a Psychic Fair with my Mom because we thought it would be fun.
Note: Before we even stepped one foot in the joint, I had made up my mind that I would have a reading (I had only ever had one reading before and it was a joke). We both believe some people have "psychic ability", but it's like 1% of all the peeps who claim to be psychic.Any who, back to our story…
When we arrived at the fair, we made a beeline for the psychics. It was kind of ridiculous. One woman sat with a crazy looking crown on her head. Another psychic was laying like Cleopatra upon a scarf lined chaise lounge while her husband/partner shook a large feather around her. This, of course, caused us to fly into a fit of giggles, but we still managed to take a turn about the room. All of the sudden we stopped at Janet Planet. She just felt like the real deal (no theatrics, just a table with a drop cloth over it and a bouquet of fresh flowers). So we had individual readings, and all we told Ms. Planet was our names. Shockingly enough, she was pretty on target about most of what she said, but the one thing Janet said that stuck was that we had been sisters once in a past life (BTW, we look nothing alike, so she knew we weren't sisters presently). And that's all it took. From that point on, we referenced one another as “Ghost Sisters”. We even came up with a back story including our "original" names of course:
Ghost Sister Daisy and Ghost Sister Azara
A Ghost Sister is not someone that a Psychic tells you you were sisters with. A Ghost Sister---or Brother--- is a person (not a lover) that you have a connection with. Ours happened to be an immediate comfort level. An outlook that (almost) mirrored the other. Someone that you feel like you have known since the beginning of time. You don't agree on everything but you accept the other person and you support them. A "Beaches" friendship basically. If you have a Ghost Sister, you know how lucky you are. If you don't, you pray that you find yours. We pray that you do too.
